utility fees, deposits, or similar questions.
Click

you'll find listings of merchants and businesses dealing with your special needs. For the
items not highlighted, let's just cover them briefly. For a more detailed, and more
in-depth, study of the City of Mason, just click here to view their web pages.
For mail services, you can contact the post office over
at the very northwest corner of the square. If you live in town, you'll probably want to
get you a postal box and you can pick up your mail at your convenience. Additionally,
you'll find the post office to be a prime visiting spot in town, and you'll hear all the
latest news there.
Law enforcement is handled by the Mason County Sheriff's
Department out in the county, and within town as a consolidated law enforcement unit for
the entire area. We're proud of the job our officers do for us, and we think you'll find
them to be pleasant folks once you get to know them.
Fire protection in Mason County and in the city of Mason
is provided by the Mason Volunteer Fire Department. They've recently moved into new
facilities, and they are proud that they have a building that matches their expertise.
Though they don't work at firefighting as a full time job, you'll find that they do a
great job when they are called upon. This might be a good time to mention that if you do
hear the fire siren sound down at the courthouse, be on the lookout for the engines and
get out of their way quickly.
