The purpose of the Mason County Historical
Commission is to preserve and disseminate the history of Mason County. The Commission is
an arm of county government. Our Chairperson is Mrs. Franklin (Jane) Hoerster and
Secretary is Mrs. Franklin (Margaret) Brown.
One of the ways the Commission disseminates information on the history of our area is
through publication and sale of books.
